5 Things That Make Me #BOSUStrong

Today I am embarking on a 4 week challenge with BOSU and Sweat Pink to prove to the world that I am #BOSUSTRONG. I will squat, mountain climb, plank, push-up, lunge, clamshell  and bridge my way to a stronger and happier body.  And I will encourage Cooper and Debbie to join me on this fun journey because we are one big, happy #FitFamily.
Being #BOSUStrong is not just about movement, sweat, or even owning a BOSU, its about being a leader, an inspiration to others, and sharing my own fitness journey with others. The 5 things that make be #BOSUStrong are:
  • My strong commitment.
  • My ability to persevere
  • My love for a challenge.
  • My healthy attitude.
  • And my spirit.
So I want to know – are you #BOSUStrong? Copy and paste the above, fill it in and make it your own and then tag me in it and share with your friends! Let’s all be #BOSUSTRONG.

Plank a Day, etc.

I know I'm a little late to this challenge, but better late than never. I was also hoping to get hubby to join me, but no go so far.

So far, successful 3 out of 4 days. I completely forgot yesterday. Hopefully, the routine will kick in soon. I can do just over a minute (on my elbows). Practice makes perfect. Any other cliches I can throw into this post?

And tomorrow I am scheduled for my first 9 miler. The group I run with mapped out a run with one major hill in the first mile, and several rolling hills until mile 4. After stopping last nights's 6 mile run at 5.5 with a little knee pain, I was starting to get worried about Saturday. Luckily, there is another group that also meets nearby that is covering 9 non-hilly miles. Crisis averted, I hope. And as an added bonus, this group meets later so the temps should be a little warmer.

Wish me luck.

Pace, push-ups and planks

It was one of those days that started early and ended late at work, but I knew it was coming and planned for it. Little dude was dropped off early at school, hubby was ready to pick him up at the end of the day, all so I could head straight to the gym since the forecast was rain.

After this day, I NEEDED this run. It was only 2.5 miles, and just under 26 minute. The longer I was on the treadmill, the more I wished I was outside. Rain or not.

So I finished up with some push-ups and planks since I chickened out of running outside. And I added some clamshells and side leg lifts after dinner. Gotta strengthen those gluts. No better way to end on a strong note.
